How the Collaboration Happened
The Busy World mini print series is an official collaboration between illustrator Ana Inciardi and Random House Children's Books, part of Penguin Random House's global licensing program honoring Richard Scarry's Busytown universe. The partnership brings Scarry's warmth and detail to Ana Inciardi's capsule vending machine format, which has a dedicated collector following across independent bookstores.
For Ana Inciardi, the collaboration was a full circle moment. Richard Scarry was the artist who first drew her into drawing.

Richard Scarry's work is in a broader resurgence among adult readers who grew up with his books, driven in part by the @richardscarrylove Instagram account, a collaboration between Random House and Scarry's son Huck Scarry. The Goldbug Mini Print Vending Machine Drop
The rarest pull in the Busy World series is the Goldbug mini print. Goldbug is the tiny yellow fellow that frequently appears hidden in Richard Scarry's pages, and he became the centerpiece of the third Busy World collection, released in January 2026. The Goldbug mini print vending machine run was intentionally small, designed to reward superfans and reinforce the collectible, hunt-based appeal of the series.
