Tracker, or a spreadsheet?

Plenty of collectors start in a Google Sheet, and a sheet is a perfectly good way to record what you own. What it cannot do is keep up with the parts that change on their own.

  • The catalog moves. New prints are released constantly. In a sheet, every one is a row you add by hand.
  • Machines are not in the sheet. Knowing you are missing a print does not tell you where to go get it.
  • Duplicates stay stuck. A column of spares reaches nobody. Matched against hunt lists, the same spares become trades.
  • It only works alone. A sheet cannot tell you that three collectors nearby have the print you have been hunting for months.
