4 Stars and Stripes

This Ana Inciardi mini print captures a female soccer player mid-kick, her body fully extended with arms raised and one leg sweeping through the strike. She wears a white jersey with a red collar, blue shorts, and white socks trimmed in red, a uniform that reads clearly as United States women's national team colors. The background is divided into geometric blocks of coral pink, orange, and multiple shades of blue, giving the composition a bold, graphic energy that pushes the figure forward visually.

Women's soccer in the United States has built a passionate following through multiple World Cup titles and Olympic gold medals, with the national team becoming a cultural touchstone beyond the sport itself. The red, white, and blue palette here connects directly to that identity. Collectors are drawn to this print for several reasons.

Sports subjects appear with some regularity across Ana Inciardi's catalog, and athletic figures rendered in her characteristic flat, textured style carry a sense of motion that feels distinct from her quieter subject matter. The grainy, felt-like surface treatment she applies across all her work is fully present here, unifying the figure with the abstract background in a way that feels composed rather than decorative. Collectors who focus on her figures and dynamic compositions often group this alongside her other prints featuring people in action or movement.

It pairs naturally with her other series prints built around bold color and strong graphic silhouettes, and those who appreciate her treatment of American subjects frequently collect it alongside thematically related pieces in that vein.
