History Made

" The composition pulls the eye straight through the center toward the banner, which features the New York Liberty logo against the pale green ground. Blue fills the sky between the cables, and the bridge structure is rendered in deep charcoal, giving the scene a strong graphic contrast characteristic of Inciardi's reduction printing approach. The Brooklyn Bridge, completed in 1883, connects Manhattan and Brooklyn and is one of the most recognized suspension bridges in the world.

The New York Liberty won the 2024 WNBA Championship, the franchise's first title in its history. Collectors drawn to New York City subjects and sports milestones find this print particularly compelling because it merges both in a single image. The choice to hang the championship banner from the bridge rather than inside an arena gives the moment a civic, citywide weight that resonates with collectors who follow Inciardi's New York work.

It fits naturally among her other New York landmark prints, and those who collect her city scenes often seek this one out specifically because it documents a real cultural moment rather than simply a place. The handwritten title "History Made" below the image reinforces that commemorative intent and adds a personal note that collectors of her work have come to associate with her editions. It pairs well with her other New York city scenes for anyone building a focused collection around her urban subjects.
