Pistachio Spread

This Ana Inciardi mini print depicts a hand-drawn illustration of a jar of Marco Colzani Pistacchi della Sicilia pistachio spread, rendered in soft yellow-green tones with a grey penciled lid. The label is clearly legible, showing the brand name, the Italian product title, and the English translation "pistachios spread" beneath it. The overall palette is muted and warm, with the color wash applied loosely within the jar's outline, giving it a sketch-like, handmade quality.

Below the illustration, the words "Pistachio Spread" are handwritten in blocky lettering, with "A1" noted in the corner. Sicilian pistachios, particularly those from the Bronte region, are considered among the finest in the world and are widely used in Italian confections, spreads, and savory dishes. Marco Colzani is a small Italian producer known for artisan nut-based spreads.

This print fits naturally into the food print category that runs throughout Inciardi's catalog, where she frequently captures specific packaged goods, jarred condiments, and pantry staples with the same affectionate attention she brings to other everyday objects. Collectors drawn to her food subjects appreciate the specificity here: this is not a generic jar but a named, real product with its own identity and origin. The decision to include both the Italian and English text on the label gives the print a gentle cross-cultural texture that appeals to collectors interested in European food culture.

It pairs naturally with her other food prints, particularly those featuring packaged or labeled goods that carry a sense of place alongside their subject.
