Shockwave Cleats

Shockwave Cleats depicts a pair of yellow athletic cleats rendered in confident linework against a soft green background. The shoes are shown untied, laces loose and trailing outward, with the soles facing the viewer to reveal rows of dark rubber studs. Diagonal hatching across the uppers gives the shoes texture and dimension, while the warm yellow against the muted green background creates a clean, grounded palette.

The composition is casual but deliberate, arranged as though the cleats were just kicked off and dropped. Cleats are specialized athletic footwear with molded or detachable studs on the sole, designed to provide traction on grass and turf surfaces. They are central to sports like soccer, football, and lacrosse, and have become a recognizable piece of athletic culture well beyond the field.

This Ana Inciardi mini print appeals to collectors who are drawn to everyday objects elevated through illustration. The subject sits comfortably alongside sports-adjacent and lifestyle imagery, and the yellow and green palette has broad visual appeal across different collection arrangements. Inciardi brings the same careful, hand-drawn quality to the cleats that she applies to objects throughout her catalog, and the result is a print that treats athletic gear with the same seriousness as any still life subject.

Collectors focused on objects and material culture tend to gravitate toward this one. It pairs naturally with her other prints centered on everyday objects and personal items, making it a strong complement to that category within her broader print series.
