Tea Pot

The Tea Pot is an Ana Inciardi mini print rendered entirely in shades of green, depicting a classic round ceramic teapot with a domed lid, small knob handle, curved spout, and a looped side handle. The composition is centered and confidently filled, with darker green used for shadow and detail across the upper body and lid, while a brighter mid-tone green sweeps across the lower portion of the pot. A small white highlight on the body suggests a glossy glaze, and the linework throughout is clean and assured.

The rounded teapot form seen here is associated with British-style ceramic design, particularly the squat Brown Betty shape that became a household staple across England and beyond. That silhouette has remained largely unchanged for well over a century, which gives it an immediate cultural familiarity. This print sits comfortably among the food and domestic object subjects found throughout Ana Inciardi's catalog, and collectors who focus on her kitchen and tabletop imagery tend to seek it out specifically.

The choice of an all-green palette gives it a cohesive, graphic quality that distinguishes it from more literal depictions of the same subject. Collectors are drawn to its simplicity and the way the two-tone color approach gives a workaday object genuine visual weight. It pairs naturally with her other food prints, particularly those featuring cups, kitchen items, or everyday domestic goods.

For anyone assembling a thematic grouping around food and home life within her body of work, this print is a consistent anchor piece.
