Machines in Alexandria, Virginia carry prints by Ana Inciardi. Here is every one that collectors last reported stocked or running low, from the upper King Street shops down to the Old Town waterfront. Machines last reported empty, closed or retired are left off this list. Browse the map and 800+ prints at miniprint.io.
The stretch between the King Street Metro and the heart of Old Town: stationery shops, a toy store, and a mercantile, all within three blocks of each other.
Cobblestones, eighteenth-century brick, and the river at the bottom of the hill. Old Town Books sits just off King on South Royal, a short walk from the waterfront piers.
Alexandria's machines are all in Old Town, and all within a few blocks of King Street. Red Barn Mercantile, Penny Post, and Pippin Toy Co. sit in the 1100 to 1300 blocks near the King Street Metro. Old Town Books is the one that pulls you off King, a short walk down South Royal Street toward the Potomac. Between them they make the densest walkable cluster of machines Vault tracks.
King Street Metro is 25 minutes from downtown DC on the Yellow or Blue Line, which makes Alexandria the natural second half of a capital-area hunt. Do the DC machines in the morning, ride south after lunch, and finish on the Alexandria waterfront.
Each art vending machine in Alexandria takes quarters or a token, depending on the machine, for one randomized mini print. You cannot choose which print you receive: every pull dispenses one at random. Because the shops sit so close together, Old Town is one of the few places where a single afternoon can realistically empty your quarters.
Vault is the dedicated app for collectible art vending machines and the mini prints they sell, by Ana Inciardi, Bright Side Prints, Pocket Change Press and more. It catalogs 800+ prints, maps 250+ active machines across the country, and shows the stock reports the collector community sends in. Alexandria visitors use Vault to see which King Street shops are stocked before setting out, plan a DC-plus-Old-Town day, and trade duplicates with other collectors. Collecting and tracking on Vault are free at miniprint.io; matching, trades and Rooms are part of Vault Annual at $12.99 a year.
